Meetings With Meaning, The Next Phase - From Handshake to Signature

February 27, 2025, 11:30am - 4pm, at the MMF Office at 200 Main Street in Winnipeg
Join us afterwords from 4-6pm at Devil May Care Brew Co. for networking

As a follow-up to the 2024 MMF Business Expo that was held in Winnipeg Dec. 3 and 4, 2024, Red River Metis Business Development Corp and MMF Economic Development are organizing a networking event to capitalize on and further the connections and business relationships that were fostered at the 2024 Expo. In discussions with attendees during the Expo and afterwards we heard overwhelming interest in continuing to bring Buyers and Sellers together again, so we are responding to this demand in a timely manner.

Invitations will be extended to the "Buyers", businesses, government departments and crown corporations and as well to the "Sellers", Red River Metis entrepreneurs, that attended the 2024 Expo. This event is a follow up to extend the conversations and connections that got started at the December Event as a means of solidifying partnerships or investigating further what potential is there.

Event Schedule

• Registration & B2B Scheduling: 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
• B2B Sessions: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
• Networking: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Key Details

• Event Fee - for those of you that registered previously for the December Expo, there will be no charge for the event. For those that did not attend the December Expo, there will be an event fee of $25
• Lunch and Refreshments - a light lunch will be provided, along with one drink during the networking session.

B2B Sessions

• Sessions will not be pre-matched prior to the event (If you need assistance with scheduling meetings or have questions, please feel free to contact Shaun Hampton at shaun.hampton@mmf.mb.ca)
• Red River Métis businesses will have an opportunity during the registration hour (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) to meet and discuss opportunities with your organization and schedule meetings directly.
• Each session will last 25 minutes, with a 5-minute break between meetings.
• B2B sessions will begin promptly at 1:00 PM.

Networking

The networking session will take place at Devil May Care Brew Co. (Fort St), starting at approximately 4:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to continue conversations in a more relaxed setting and strengthen your connections within the Red River Métis business community. The establishment is across the back lane from 200 Main so participants can easily move from one location to the other on foot.

Participation Details

Buyers

• Due to capacity there will be a limit of sixteen Buyers

Sellers

• Entrepreneurs will not be setting up booths or be required to bring banners, all you need is yourself!
• If you would like to follow up with a Buyer you connected with at the December Expo or like to know which Buyers are attending, contact shaun.hampton@mmf.mb.ca
• On the day of the Event, if you need any support connecting with Buyers, let us know and we can introduce you to an MECD Officer who can assist in facilitating introductions
